Privacy
Iromi collects nothing about you. Not a reduced amount — nothing.

This is short because there is little to say. If a privacy policy needs thousands of words, it is usually describing collection rather than the absence of it.
The app
What the camera sees
Iromi reads the small area at the center of the viewfinder and works out what color it is. That happens on your device, as the frames arrive, and the frames are discarded immediately. Nothing is recorded, saved to your photo library, or sent anywhere.
No account
There is no sign-up, no login, no email address, and no profile. Iromi does not know who you are and has no way to find out.
No network
Iromi works entirely offline. The app makes no network requests at all, so there is no channel through which your readings could leave the device even in principle.
The one place money is involved — the optional tip jar — works by opening a link in your browser rather than by the app connecting to anything. Iromi asks your phone to open a web page; it doesn't fetch or send anything itself. That's deliberate: a promise with an exception in it is one you'd have to take on trust, and this one you can check by watching the traffic.
No analytics or tracking
There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifier, and no third-party SDK of any kind. Nobody is counting your taps.
What is stored on your device
Your settings — voice, speaking rate, verbosity, haptics, appearance — and the current lighting calibration are saved locally so the app remembers them between launches. They stay on your device. Deleting Iromi deletes them.
Photos
If you read a color from a saved photo, that photo is processed on your device and is not copied, uploaded, or retained by Iromi.
Tips
There’s an optional Support button on the main screen and in Settings. Tapping it opens Ko-fi in your browser, and the app tells you that before you tap rather than after.
Nothing about you travels with that link — it is an ordinary web address with no identifier attached, so Ko-fi learns nothing about you from Iromi. Once you are there you are a visitor to Ko-fi, a separate company with its own privacy policy, and what happens is between you and them. Iromi never sees your payment details and never learns whether you tipped — tipping unlocks nothing, so there is nothing for the app to remember.
Children
Iromi collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
This website
Worth being straight about, since it is the one place any data exists at all.
This site has no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no embedded videos, and no fonts or scripts loaded from anyone else’s server. There is no signup form, which is why you were asked to send an email instead — an email you choose to send is information you chose to give.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives and may log the requests it serves, which includes IP addresses. That is outside our control and is covered by GitHub’s privacy statement. We do not receive, request, or have access to those logs.
If you email us, we have your email address and whatever you wrote, for as long as it takes to answer you.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes and the previous version stays in the site’s public history. A commitment you can’t check isn’t a commitment.
